      Senior Partner, Thomas J. Fedick, a Chicago area personal injury trial attorney, handles cases arising from all areas of personal injury and wrongful death litigation, including products liability, automobile collisions, construction negligence, premises liability, product liability, fires and explosions, and medical malpractice.

In his 36 years of advocating on behalf of victims’ rights, Mr. Fedick has obtained numerous million and multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of his clients.        

     Mr. Fedick’s success on behalf of injured persons and the loved ones of the deceased speaks for itself.  In a recent case, he secured a $3.1 million settlement for the family of a woman who died when her car was hit by a Pace bus.  In another case, he achieved a $3.9 million settlement for the wife and young son of a man killed while walking in a car dealership due to the negligent conduct of a dealership employee. And in yet another settlement, he secured $1.34 million settlement on behalf of three victims of an explosion.  Mr. Fedick also distinguished himself in Carroll County, Illinois with what is believed to be the second highest personal injury settlement ever recorded in the county: a seven-figure settlement on behalf of a man who injured his back in an automobile collision.

     As his record clearly shows, Mr. Fedick's commitment to his clients is unparalleled and his experience in the courtroom and at resolving cases to the satisfaction of his clients is outstanding. As a testament to his commitment to victim's rights, Mr. Fedick has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list every year since 2011 as one of the top attorneys in Illinois. No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers. 

     In his first two years of practice, Mr. Fedick was an attorney at an insurance defense firm. In this position, he conducted numerous personal injury jury trials and tried over 150 property damage bench trials. In his second year of practice, he was recognized as having tried the second highest number of personal injury jury trials in Cook County. In 1982, Mr. Fedick joined the predecessor firm to Harman & Fedick, Ltd., Doyle & Ryan, Ltd. and became a named partner in 1994.

     Born in Rochester, New York, Mr. Fedick attended the University of Dayton and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1976. In 1979, he obtained his Juris Doctor from The University of Dayton School of Law where he competed on the National Mock Trial Team.

     Mr. Fedick was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1979 and is also admitted to the Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois as a trial attorney and the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

     Harman & Fedick, Ltd was established in 1950 as Doyle, Ltd., by John A. Doyle, a well-known Chicago trial attorney. In 1979, the firm became Doyle & Ryan, Ltd.,reflecting John Doyle’s partnership with William Ryan, a brilliant and well-known Chicago trial attorney. In 1994, the firm name recognized the addition of the two current partners, Thomas J. Fedick and James M. Harman.
